Cari fratelli e sorelle

La liturgia di questa settimana continua a portarci alle diverse manifestazioni di Gesù. Secondo l’evangelista Luca, dopo il battesimo, Gesù ritornò in Galilea con la potenza dello Spirito Santo (Lc 4, 14). In Galilea, Gesù insegnava nelle sinagoghe. Un sabato, entrato nella sinagoga di Nazareth, prese il rotolo del libro del profeta Isaia e lesse questo passaggio: “Lo Spirito del Signore è sopra di me; per questo mi ha consacrato con l’unzione e mi ha mandato a portare ai poveri il lieto annuncio, a proclamare ai prigionieri la liberazione e ai ciechi la vista; a rimettere in libertà gli oppressi e proclamare l’anno di grazia del Signore”. Poi disse: “oggi si è compiuto questa scrittura che voi avete ascoltato” (Lc 14, 18-21). Gesù sceglie il passo di Isaia 61, 1 non soltanto come programma della sua missione, ma trova in quel passo la profezia che si compie nella sua persona. Gesù, infatti, conosce la sua propria identità. Sà molto bene che è stato consacrato quando lo spirito scese su di lui nel momento del battesimo. Perché una voce dal cielo gli disse: “Tu sei il Figlio mio, l’amato: in te ho posto il mio compiacimento” (Lc 3, 22). In seguito, conoscendo se stesso, Gesù si presenta ai suoi concittadini di Nazareth che, da trent’anni, lo hanno conosciuto come figlio di Giuseppe e di Maria. E poi, a tutti i presenti nella sinagoga, Gesù rivela il suo progetto di salvezza in cui unisce la scrittura alla situazione della comunità di Nazareth: portare il lieto annuncio = ai poveri; proclamare la liberazione = ai prigionieri; la vista = ai ciechi; a rimettere in libertà =gli oppressi; a proclamare l’anno della grazia del Signore= a tutti. Gesù ci chiama dunque a conoscere anche la nostra identità e l’attività legata ad essa. Con il battesimo, siamo configurati a Cristo. Abbiamo ricevuto l’unzione e siamo quindi abilitati a partecipare alla missione sacerdotale, profetica e regale di Gesù. Il nostro primo compito è di rendere testimonianza di Gesù Cristo ovunque ci troviamo ed essere capaci di tradurre la parola di Dio nella vita concreta. Non dimentichiamo che Dio è amore. “Chi ama Dio, ami anche suo fratello” (1Gv 4, 21). Il fratello è ogni persona che ci sta accanto con tutto quello che è. Pertanto, il Vangelo di oggi ci invita a portare il lieto annuncio a questo fratello povero; a proclamare la liberazione del fratello che sta in carcere; a dare la vista al fratello che è cieco; a rimettere in libertà il fratello che è oppresso e a proclamare a tutti i fratelli l’anno di grazia del Signore. Spetta a noi identificare tutte queste persone nelle nostre comunità parrocchiale, religiose, nelle nostre scuole e ovunque il Signore ci manda per la sua missione. Che per l’intercessione di Maria Santissima, il Signore ci dia la grazia di essere veri portatori del lieto annuncio per soccorrere coloro che sempre hanno bisogno della liberazione. Amen.

Chers frères et sœurs

La liturgie de cette semaine continue de nous amener aux différentes manifestations de Jésus. Selon l'évangéliste Luc, après son baptême, Jésus est retourné en Galilée avec la puissance du Saint-Esprit (Lc 4, 14). En Galilée, Jésus a enseigné dans des synagogues. Un samedi, entra dans la synagogue de Nazareth, prit le rouleau du livre du prophète Isaïe et lut ce passage : "L’Esprit du Seigneur est sur moi; pour cela, il m'a consacré avec une onction et m'a envoyé apporter la bonne nouvelle aux pauvres, proclamer la libération aux prisonniers et la vue aux aveugles; libérer les opprimés et proclamer l'année de grâce du Seigneur ". Puis il a dit : "Cette parole de l’Écriture, que vous venez d'entendre, c'est aujourd'hui qu'elle s'accomplit" (Lc 14, 18-21). Jésus choisit le passage d'Ésaïe 61,1, non seulement comme programme de sa mission, mais trouve dans ce passage la prophétie qui s'accomplit dans sa personne. En fait, Jésus connaît sa propre identité. Il sait très bien qu'il a été consacré quand l'esprit est descendu sur lui au moment du baptême. Parce qu'une voix du ciel lui dit: "Tu es mon Fils bien-aimé; je t'ai plu en toi" (Lc 3, 22). Plus tard, se connaissant, Jésus se présente à ses concitoyens de Nazareth qui le connaissent depuis trente ans comme fils de Joseph et de Marie. Et puis, à toutes les personnes présentes dans la synagogue, Jésus révèle son plan de salut dans lequel il combine l'écriture avec la situation de la communauté de Nazareth: apporter la bonne nouvelle aux pauvres; proclamer la libération = aux prisonniers; la vue = à l'aveugle; libérer = l'opprimé; proclamer l'année de la grâce du Seigneur = à tous. Jésus nous appelle donc à connaître aussi notre identité et l'activité qui y est liée. Avec le baptême, nous sommes configurés pour Christ. Nous avons reçu l'onction et sommes donc en mesure de participer à la mission sacerdotale, prophétique et royale de Jésus. Notre première tâche consiste à témoigner de Jésus-Christ partout où nous nous trouvons et à pouvoir traduire la parole de Dieu en une vie concrète. N'oublions pas que Dieu est amour. "Celui qui aime Dieu aime aussi son frère" (1 Jn 4:21). Le frère est chaque personne qui est à côté de nous avec tout ce qui est. C'est pourquoi l'évangile d'aujourd'hui nous invite à apporter la bonne nouvelle à ce pauvre frère; proclamer la libération du frère emprisonné; donner la vue au frère aveugle; libérer le frère opprimé et annoncer à tous les frères l'année de grâce du Seigneur. Il nous appartient d’identifier toutes ces personnes dans notre paroisse, dans nos communautés religieuses, dans nos écoles et partout où le Seigneur nous envoie pour mission. Puisse le Seigneur nous donner la grâce d'être de véritables porteurs de la joyeuse proclamation d'aide à ceux qui ont toujours besoin de la libération par l'intercession de Marie Très-Sainte. Amen.

Dear brothers and sisters

The liturgy of this week continues to bring us to the different manifestations of Jesus. According to the Evangelist Luke, after baptism, Jesus returned to Galilee with the power of the Holy Spirit (Lk 4, 14). In Galilee, Jesus taught in synagogues. One Saturday, entered the synagogue of Nazareth, took the scroll of the book of the prophet Isaiah and read this passage: "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me; for this he consecrated me with anointing and sent me to bring good news to the poor, to proclaim release to the prisoners and sight to the blind; to free the oppressed and proclaim the year of grace of the Lord ". Then he said: "today this writing has been fulfilled that you have heard" (Lk 14, 18-21). Jesus chooses the passage of Isaiah 61, 1 not only as a program of his mission, but finds in that passage the prophecy that is fulfilled in his person. In fact, Jesus knows his own identity. He knows very well that he was consecrated when the spirit descended on him at the time of baptism. Because a voice from heaven said to him: "You are my beloved Son: I have pleased you in you" (Lk 3:22). Later, knowing himself, Jesus introduces himself to his fellow citizens of Nazareth who, for thirty years, have known him as a son of Joseph and Mary. And then, to all those present in the synagogue, Jesus reveals his plan of salvation in which he combines writing with the situation of the community of Nazareth: to bring the good news = to the poor; to proclaim liberation = to prisoners; the view = to the blind; to set free = the oppressed; to proclaim the year of the Lord's grace = to all. Jesus therefore calls us to know also our identity and the activity linked to it. With baptism, we are configured to Christ. We have received the anointing and are therefore enabled to participate in the priestly, prophetic and royal mission of Jesus. Our first task is to bear witness to Jesus Christ wherever we find ourselves and to be able to translate the word of God into concrete life. Let us not forget that God is love. "He who loves God, also love his brother" (1 Jn 4:21). The brother is every person who is next to us with all that is. Therefore, today's Gospel invites us to bring the good news to this poor brother; to proclaim the release of the brother who is in prison; to give sight to the brother who is blind; to free up the brother who is oppressed and to proclaim to all the brothers the year of grace of the Lord. It is up to us to identify all these people in our parish, religious communities, in our schools and wherever the Lord sends us for his mission. May the Lord, through the intercession of Mary Most Holy, give us the grace to be true bearers of the joyful proclamation to help those who always need liberation. Amen.
